"5nal Goes West" absolutely killed me. Also appreciated the dive into why this particular scene is so horrific-- and I had no idea the log bounce was CG.
I came back to this because I was just stuck in awful traffic only to discover a massive log truck pulled over on the side of the highway, clearly causing the slowdown. I thought you would want to know that, had things panned out differently, my final thoughts would have been of your brilliant commentary on this very topic. 🪵 💀
The third one is probably the splatteriest one. Which is surprising to say, considering a kid gets flattened by a giant pane of glass in the second one 🤣

To me this is the best kind of CGI—it enhances the storytelling rather than replacing it
The thing is, I haven't even seen the movie and this clip (maybe the trailer) fundamentally changed my relationship to the physical world LOL.
Most people haven’t seen the movie, but it made a hell of an impact!

I’m glad you’re ok and I’m honoured to have almost been your final thought 🤣
I’ve only seen the third one in a theater and I spent the whole time with my hands over my eyes, peaking through my fingers. lol
The infamous log scene I watched on the break room TV when I worked at Best Buy, I didn’t even get to see the rest of the movie.
IMDb informs me, they are making a sixth installment, Tony Todd will be returning.
